Recording Gran Piano with Charter Oak e700 Microphone

A Simple stereo pair of Charter Oak Acoustics e700 microphones are used to record a Steinway B 7-foot Grand Piano inside Sound Pure recording studios. They utilize a spaced pair of these incredible microphones into a Millennia HV-3R Mic Preamp, feeding a Lynx Aurora Converter- totally clean, unprocessed signal.

Neumann TLM102 Microphones: Acoustic Guitar Recording

The Neumann TLM102 records amazing acoustic guitars, both classical and steel strings, in an untreated lobby located at the Sound Pure facility. While the room does have some nice natural reverb, it has no acoustic treatment which demonstrates the excellent performance of these microphones even outside of a recording studio.

Here we use the Neumann TLM 102 microphone on a several different Saxophones, Alto and Tenner, through a Millennia Origin (HV3 style preamp) without any of the processing engaged. These recordings contaning no EQ and no Compression, and really give us a sense for the detail and character of the TLM 102 microphone.

No processing, no EQ, no compression at all was used when making these simple but great sounding recordings. Extraordinarily detailed and balanced sound on the full drum kit is achieved in an extremely easy-to-replicate microphone setup utilizing two TLM 102 Studio microphones. This is the first extensive test-drive ever done with the fabulous new, and well-priced Neumann microphone. The video was filmed and recorded entirely at Sound Pure.
